Job Title: Junior Scrum Master
Location: Hybrid in Cleveland, OH (Downtown, 3 days a week)
Duration: 6-month+ Contract-to-Hire
Pay: $30-35/hr

Brooksource is seeking a highly organized and motivated Jr-Level Scrum Master to support a large technology enterprise undergoing a significant data transformation. The Scrum Master will assist in the creation of new data domains, working alongside teams focused on data governance and quality. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, organized, and ready to support technical teams through various projects.
Responsibilities:
- Assist technical teams with capability/domain-driven work and use case-driven work.
- Help ensure adherence to timelines, project plans, and quality standards.
- Coordinate resources and manage dependencies to ensure work is completed according to scope and expectations.
- Develop scope documents outlining project objectives, deliverables, and exclusions.
- Facilitate Scrum events (Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective) and support program-level Scrum frameworks and delivery coordination.
- Identify, assess, and help mitigate risks and issues impacting workstreams.
- Facilitate problem-solving and collaboration with teams to implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, Product Owners, Enterprise PMO, and technical teams to understand user needs and deliver solutions.
- Ensure clear and consistent communication regarding project status, backlog, and prioritization of work.
- Deliver bi-weekly status meetings with stakeholders to report on progress/milestones and discuss challenges.
- Support the adoption of new processes, tools, and technologies through change management activities, including training, communication, and feedback loops.
- Drive process improvements and efficiency gains across domains and workstreams.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
- Suggest innovative solutions or improvements to drive efficiency, enhance capabilities, or provide a competitive advantage.
- Monitor resource allocation and capacity, ensuring teams are appropriately staffed to meet project needs.
- Provide recommendations for resource optimization and help balance workloads across domains.
- Develop reporting that includes burn-down charts, velocity materials, and agile maturity assessments.
- Contribute to the development of knowledge databases, manuals, and articles for workstreams and domains.
Qualifications:
- Interest in Agile methodologies and Scrum frameworks.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- Certification in Scrum (CSM, PSM) or related Agile certifications preferred.
- SAFe certified is a plus!
